YOUR ROLE
As a senior web developer, you will have the exciting opportunity to architect and deliver high-quality software components that comprise our enterprise application. Your main duty will be to extend a novel framework for image visualization and manipulation with our own image analysis AI algorithms, touching the lives of thousands of patients and healthcare workers around the globe. It is a remote full-time position with 40 working hours per week:
- As a professional, you analyze complex requirements, break them down into units of work (i.e. design specifications) and estimate the level of effort required to implement them.
- You design and implement own software, but you also evaluate and integrate 3rd party libraries and frameworks to increase robustness and reduce overall development time.
- You develop and maintain web applications using React or Angular.
- In your senior role, together with other senior team members, you define and adhere to best-practices related to architecture, security, testing and coding standards.
- By applying adequate tests and metrics and through collaborating with our DevOps in the continuous improvement of our CI-CD pipeline, you ensure our software meets all quality, security, scalability and performance requirements.
- You mentor and guide team members on best practices and framework-specific development.
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree/certification in Software Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in developing web-based applications.
- 1+ years of professional experience in software development using JavaScript/Typescript and NodeJS.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with front-end.
- Strong understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of both, React and Angular.
- Experience in evaluating technical trade-offs and making informed decisions.
- Fluency in English and/or German language with residence in Germany.

Desired Skills and Capabilities
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development using React, Angular, NodeJS and common RDBMS such as PostgreSQL.
- 1+ years of experience developing software products in a Research & Development department of a software company.
- Interest or experience with browser-based visualization of medical images and related frameworks like Cornerstone and the DICOM standard.
- Experience developing enterprise-grade software in regulated environments, like life-sciences.
- Familiarity with healthcare informatics and related standards, like HL7 or FHIR.
